Patch Notes - 08-11-2009
Improved Lobby User Interface
There is a new side menu in the lobby (when you select a creature)
A new ESC menu (when you press esc in lobby)
There is new Lobby tab on the friends list (showing other players in the lobby, their levels, and what activity they are engaged in). You can select players directly from the list and challenge them etc.

Creature Comfort Game
Now you can see what your creature is thinking in the lair. Learning to respond to you creature's needs is both fun and rewarding allowing you to make credits for the first time in the lair.
While you are in the lair your creature occasionally thinks of things it wants. These thoughts appear in a bubble above his head. Do the actions in order, within the time limit to earn rewards.
There are six different levels of difficulty that naturally progress as you complete the previous level. At maximum you can do up to six actions.
To see levels beyond the third you'll need to have a bed, a chair and toys.
Free accounts are limited to level 3 in the Creature Comfort Game.

New Toys
There are two new toys for your creature to interact with.
The Wewonk Punch Dummy: The wewonk lets your creature punch it and practice their close range skills.
The Targetron: The targetron lets your creature practice their shooting skills.

General Load Improvement
Creatures should now load with their parts fully in place -- instead of parts popping in afterwards.
Overall loading optimizations.

In-Battle Enhancement
There is a new critical hit graphic

Power Changes
Persistent Wound has been reduced from 3 rounds to 2.
Overburn damage has been reduced from 10 per round to 8 per round
Power Steal now copies the full number of charges from your opponent and lets you use the stolen power until the charges are used up or another power is stolen. The battle log will have a link of the power stolen so you can know how it works before you choose your part

Chat Enhancements
Item Linking – you can now drag your fish into the chat window to create a link. Mouse over an item, part or power link in chat to see a description of it
History – the size of the chat history is now limited so it won’t cause slowdown after hours of chatting.

Fishing:

-Fishing is now in the game. To start fishing, simply join any lobby and select one of the open docks surrounding the lake within the lobby.

Fishing Features:

-Only 1 creature can be on a dock at a time

-You cannot be challenged or challenge others players while on the dock. After you finish fishing, you can challenge and be challenged again.

-While you are fishing, all creature and pet names above the heads are turned off, when done fishing, they are turned back on.

-During the select lure stage of fishing, you can access the left hand UI buttons from the lobby menu to see your inventory, friends list, fishing skill, etc.

-There are two new available buttons the battle lobby interface:Bag Inventory, which stores your inventory items (fish)and Creature button, which displays your skills.

-Every 10th fishing skill level gained, you are allowed access to a new bobber. Higher level bobbers will yield better reel-ins when fishing.

-You can reel-in junk, fish, and chests containing credits, powers, parts, and lair objects inside. There may also be other things you can reel in.

-You can sell your catches or keep your fish and eat them for battle buffs.

-When fishing, you have the option to cast to 3 different sized cast pools, what you are able to catch is determined by which cast pool you choose to cast to and your bobber.
When you have a bite, you need to click on your bobber quickly to hook your catch. Upon successfully doing so, you will start to reel-in your catch. The difficulty of the reel-in is dependent upon the quality of the object that you are reeling-in: the rarer the object, the more difficult the reel in.

-Right clicking on a fish in your inventory allows you to eat it.

-A battle buff from eating a fish lasts only for the next battle.

-In the online options menu, you can turn on the ability to see all catches that other players get from fishing in your lobby. This is primarily to assist in having fishing contests.

-Free to Play players can reach Fishing Skill Level 9. They’ll make less money from fish sales, and gain 50% of the fishing skill experience as premium members.

Bug Fixes:

-There should be a general performance increase. Many textures were optimized. This should mean faster loading and better performance overall.

-Fixed defense display for Hot Rock Belcher to correctly show fire defense

-Bulging Biceps power now lets you know that it's working

-Added an icon for the Power Steal power so you can see what power was stolen
